How should I eat your meals? How many per day?

Our meals are formulated based on traditional Eastern medicine, designed to actively support recovery and balance rather than simply satisfy hunger. We recommend eating at least two soups or stews per day, especially during the postpartum period.

This may sound like a lot—but in Korean postpartum tradition, mothers typically eat 3–4 bowls of Seaweed Soup (Miyeok Guk) every day for several weeks after giving birth. The repetition is intentional—healing in these traditions comes through consistency and warmth, not variety.

How long do your products last?

Our soups stay fresh for several months in the freezer for best quality (though technically safe indefinitely if kept below 0°F / -18°C). The date printed on our packages is a "best buy" date.

Once thawed, please refrigerate and enjoy within 1–2 days—our food contains no preservatives or additives.

How do I defrost and reheat?

Please see the Instructions section on each product page for best results.

How much freezer space is needed?

Please refer to each product page for size details. Our slim pouches are designed to take up minimal freezer space (especially when your freezer is likely full of breastmilk and/or baby food) and can be stored vertically.

Can I customize ingredients?

We’re not able to accommodate special requests at this time.

However, please email your dietary preferences or restrictions to info@forherbyarisa.com—we truly value your input and shape future menus around customer feedback.

Can your products be consumed even if not postpartum?

Absolutely. Our recipes are rooted in Eastern medicine, designed to support balance, circulation, and vitality for anyone—especially women navigating hormonal shifts, stress, or fatigue.

We’ve found our foods especially resonate with busy mothers, those in menopause, people recovering from illness, and the elderly. Simply choose what your body craves—our bodies often know what they need.

Can kids consume your products?

Yes! All of our food is made from real, wholesome ingredients—many parents tell us even their picky eaters love them.

Can pregnant women consume your products?

All of our products are safe and nourishing during pregnancy, supporting the body through its natural changes. However, some items include potent ingredients used in Eastern medicine that are best enjoyed in moderation during this time. Please refer to each product description for guidance on which products this applies to.

Shipping, Delivery and Orders.

Where do you ship?

We currently ship within a 90 mile radius of our kitchen, mostly within Los Angeles and Orange Counties, California. You will see at checkout if we can ship to your address. We plan to expand to the rest of California, and then the continental U.S., by 2026.

How does shipping work?

All orders placed before Wednesday at noon (PST) will ship the following week’s Thursday (not the next day). We currently deliver only to certain areas in Los Angeles and Orange County. Orders arrive by the end of Thursday.

Please be available to receive your order that day to prevent thawing. If no one answers, we’ll leave the insulated delivery bag—packed with ice packs—in a shaded area when possible. While we do our best to ensure items stay frozen, we cannot guarantee product quality once the delivery has been completed.

Shipping schedule summary:

  • Order by Wednesday, 12:00pm PST
  • Ships the following Thursday (one week later)
  • Delivered same day within Los Angeles and Orange County

If you’re planning ahead for postpartum, we recommend ordering at least one month before your due date.

When should I order?

If you plan to have our food ready for your baby’s arrival, we recommend placing your order about one month before your due date.

Do I need to return the bags and ice packs?

While returns aren’t required, we’d deeply appreciate it if you could return your insulated bags and ice packs so we can reuse them and reduce waste. Please store them until our delivery staff can collect—either hand them back to our staff the same day or leave them outside your entrance when you expect your next delivery. (For some areas where we use a courier, collection may not be available.) Every small act helps us keep the planet a little cleaner.

Returns & Refunds

Because our products are perishable, we do not accept returns except in cases where we’ve made a mistake or an item arrives damaged.

If you receive an incorrect or damaged order, please contact us at info@forherbyarisa.com within 7 days of delivery so we can review and resolve the issue promptly.

For any other questions or concerns about your order, please reach out—we’re always happy to help.
